$285 MILLION CITIZENS BANK CAMPUS
FORMER TUCKERS INDUSTRIAL DUMP
Former Landfill During Waste Excavation and Screening
This facility formerly operated as an unlicensed residential and industrial dump which operated from the early 1950s to approximately 1963.
HEI was the lead environmental consultant for the excavation and disposal of 31,500 tons of non-hazardous controlled waste from the 3.75-acre landfill footprint in preparation of the construction of a 425,000 square foot Citizens Bank campus, employing approximately 3,000 people.
Remedial work included the excavation, separation, and stockpiling of waste prior to treatment to stabilize Lead present in the waste.
Following the removal of the waste the bottom of the landfill was segregated into gridded area. 888 individual grid squares spanned the bottom of the landfill footprint for sampling and screening with an XRay Florescence Meter for the presence of Total Lead. 324 sets of confirmation soil samples were submitted for analyses of Total Lead, Total Arsenic, Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons, and Volatile Organic Compounds.
