HEI has conducted environmental services for an extensive list of commercial and industrial projects since 1988. Our Clients include Federal facilities, local municipalities, financial institutions, commercial and retail businesses, large industrial facilities, and land development corporations.

 

Project work includes "Phase I" Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)", "Phase II" ESAs" (subsurface investigations), as needed, and follow-up site remedial design and implementation when necessary, such as:

• Soil Excavation;

• Product Recovery;

• Underground Storage Tank Closures;

• Underground Injection Control (UIC) (e.g., Floor Drain) Closures;

• Chemical and Biological Groundwater Injections;

• Sub-Slab Depressurization Systems; 

• Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) Systems; and,

• Environmental Land Usage Restrictions and Soil Management Plans.

 

Our responsibilities on certain development/redevelopment projects includes coordination of subcontractors, bid specifications, and general site supervision services to prepare properties for construction activities within various time constraints. In addition, we have been involved with various landfill projects for more than thirty years.

 

Through our work experience, we have developed an excellent working relationship with the RI Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP), Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MEDEP), Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP), US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), as well as other state and federal agencies.
